As it was made inside Up Studio, I need to credit the talented Claire Brancotte, by creating such piece of art (our first intern). She came from Paris to do an internship with us, and the best way to appreciate the city of Porto and capture all the essence, was, precisly, by cultivating and breathing each space and corner that the city had to offer.
This project was discussed between me and my studio partner (César Moura) before Claire's arrival, and it had our creative direction and supervision. Such idea, dedication, guidance, collaboration and passion allowed us to get the attention from the iconic Livraria Lello & Irmãos who decided to get the intelectual rights of selling and promoting the project.

Discovering Oporto was born as an self-publishing book by Up Studio (the 2nd) - is a city guide with three tours, containing informations, illustrations, and pictures about interesting places in Oporto; from the most famous to the unknown ones.
This is a unique travel-book that you can also fill: there is space to write, draw, and even to glue your own photos. It becomes clear that this book, mainly because of his unique and beautiful concept, turns into your own fellow traveler.
This is a cleaver city guide (as you can feel it) that helps you easily to take the most of your time (mostly if you are to visit Porto in a hurry or don't know where to start). But most of all, it helps you to keep your memories in one little place and at the end of the day, it becomes a very particular and sentimental book. Because it's yours, because it's a shared experienced, because it's personal.
A traveler experience as no other.
