Xilomea® was one of the first visual identity that Up Studio (my old own studio) made. Our client is an architecture and he had a dream to open a business related with exclusive furniture, thought and designed by himself in a classic mode and, at the same time, inspired by modernism. Still in a line that characterizes them quite well, there's the caution to create furniture that are extremely functional, and furniture that is adapted to their surroundings. Dynamism is thus, a key word to describe them. And so, it becomes clear that there is a set of words that build and design the Xilomea products and are in fact, the foundation of all the engaging philosophy of the brand and its furniture. Furniture designed and often bonded to the Fibonacci sequence, or better known as the golden ratio in rectangles. So, we had here, part of the answer that we have been searching to solve the identity.

So it was, for us, clear from the very beginning of the brand's construction, that it was necessary to create a dynamic image, instead of static. And also to build a settled iconography in various ranges associated to Xilomea. In this case Fibonacci, Claritude, Crescent and MyKingdom. Given also the fact of being a brand that wants to be present on international markets, the names of the various ranges has been adapted to various languages.
Now, in a conclusion mode, the only initial requirement input by the client: to use an X.

Acknowledgments: I had the pleasure to be the Head of Design. But beside being the creative fully involved in this project, I must credit my dear colleague Jeremy Powell (Client Service Director/Manager) by trusting me this project, by all his fantastic insights and by allowing me to take full lead on this. Thanks also goes to the team that helped me with the production process. My friend César for working together on this photo session. And the responsables for this project at Nespresso that I had the pleasure to met and work with. Last but not least, to the fantastic team at the printhouse.
